What a better way to start a new year, create a new blog, begin a new journey of Orthodox Homemaking, by first celebrating the birth of Christ.  As I sit here with my own infant son in my lap, I can’t imagine the wonder, emotions and thoughts that the Virgin Mary pondered in her heart as she held her own infant son, Jesus, God the Word, LIFE HIMSELF!   Let us begin preparing for the festivities.  Christ is about to be born!
